Zhong Qiu Jie which is also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar. Mid-Autumn is a time for familymembers and loved ones to congregate and enjoy the full moon-an auspicious symbol of abundance harmony and luckAdults will usually indulge in fragrant mooncakes of many varieties with a good cup of piping hot Chinese tea while the little ones run around with their brightly-lit lanterns.
The month before Mid-Autumn Festival, however, is the busiest season for gift box factories, as boxes for mooncakes need to be mass-produced to meet consumer demand during the festival.
For this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival gift box, X-RHEA received a special order–to help Siemens develop and produce an extremely complex Mid-Autumn gift box.
From the design draft to the sample, it only took 3 days to perfect the customer’s design draft into real objects.
The craft of this gift box is complex, almost all the conventional craft of the gift box is used, and it contains the mechanism, the built-in light, and can be used as a lantern at night. It is not only a Mid-Autumn gift box, but also a decorative art. The designer wanted to recycle the gift box, and X-RHEA helped to realize it, making a contribution to environmental protection.
